HP 4350 Does Not Support
Legal Backs
At 55 pages
per minute, HP’s new 4350 is an attractive option for many firms
looking for a secretarial/workgroup printer. But firms should
carefully review its specifications to understand one
significant limitation. The maximum paper size supported by the
HP 4350 is 8 ½ x 14. The LaserJet 4350 takes full advantage of
built-in timing mechanisms to more proactively detect paper jams
and other problems. The printer "knows" how long varying paper
sizes take to pass through the roller and, if a sheet takes
longer than the anticipated time, the printer generates an
error. The error will cause the printer to stop accepting print
jobs until the printer's power is recycled. If you are
attempting to print legal backs longer than 14 inches, you may
want to consider an HP 5100.
